McKinsey | The power of parity: Advancing women’s equality in Asia Pacific
Asia Pacific is arguably the most dynamic region in the world. Women are making vital contributions to growth but gaps remain in many countries on gender equality – both in work and in society.
McKinsey research estimates that advancing women’s equality in Asia Pacific could add $4.5 trillion to their collective annual GDP in 2025 – that’s a whopping 12% increase over the business-as-usual trajectory. Put simply, trying to grow without enabling the full potential of women is like fighting with one hand tied behind one’s back.
